Printer Version:  How to Pray the Rosary
If you are praying a traditional, five decade rosary, hold the crucifix and say an Apostles Creed.
On the first bead, say an Our Father
On the next three beads, say a Hail Mary.
On the next bead, say a Glory Be.
If you are praying a pocket rosary, say an Apostles Creed on the crucifix.
On the next bead, say one Our Father, Three Hail Marys and one Glory Be.
Announce the first mystery and say an Our Father.
Say ten Hail Marys, one on each bead, while meditating on the mystery.
Say the Glory Be.
Say the Fatima Prayer.

If you are saying a pocket rosary, repeat this step four more times.

On a traditional, five decade rosary, begin the second mystery by announcing it and
saying an Our Father.  Repeat the Hail Marys, Glory Be and Fatima Prayer.  Continue
the third, fourth and fifth mysteries in this manner.
After completing all five decades of the rosary, say the Hail Holy Queen.

Pope John Paul II suggested that we pray the Joyful Mysteries on Monday and Saturday
The Sorrowful Mysteries on Tuesday and Friday
The Luminous on Thursday.
The Glorious on Wednesday and Sunday (with this exception: Sundays of Christmas
season - The Joyful; Sundays of Lent - Sorrowful)
If you have any petitions or are dedicating the rosary for someone, state this
after the Glory Be, before announcing the first mystery.
